Other holidays

zlibow 5 years ago 0

Would love to see some other holidays reflected, such as:

  • Rosh HaShannah LeBehemah (1 Elul)
  • Seder al-Tahwid (1 Nisan)
  • Mimouna (21 Nisan)
  • The three Isru Hag days
  • Saharane (although I recognize this might be trickier)

Just think it would be fun and provide a more complete picture to the Hebrew Calendar.

Thank you for your consideration.

When does "today" switch for Shabbat Times API?

moriarty00 5 years ago 0

If you don't specify a date when calling the Shabbat Times API, it defaults to "today". When does that switch to the next day? Is it at midnight in the time zone of the requested location, or midnight in some fixed time zone, or some other time? Thanks!

Outlook 2016

Paul Pinkus 5 years ago updated by jkoenzuraida 1 year ago 1

In the past, when I have imported the Hebrew calendar into Outlook, it went to my regular Outlook Calendar which syncs to my phone and tablet.  However, when I went to do so with the 2020 calendar, now using Outlook 2016, it created a new calendar rather than putting it iinto my regular Outlook calendar.  Anybody know how to address this?  I don't want to keep referring to 2 different calendars.

Hi, thanks for using Hebcal.

Please follow our Microsoft Outlook Jewish holidays download for Office 365 instructions to add a Hebcal Jewish holiday calendar 5-year feed to newer versions of Microsoft Outlook. This technique uses Outlook’s “Internet Calendar Subscription” feature which keeps a separate calendar from your primary calendar. The calendar appears as an “overlay” and can be managed separately from your main calendar.

This method is preferred for modern versions of Outlook, e.g. Office 365, Outlook 2016, Outlook 2013, etc. We still support the legacy CSV Jewish holiday download option used by Outlook 2007 and earlier versions.

Our apologies for the long delay in answering this question.

Please note the large warning at the top of the page.

Note! You are viewing a calendar for Gregorian year 5780, which is 3760 years in the future.
Did you really mean to do this? Perhaps you intended to get the calendar for Hebrew year 5780?
If you really intended to use Gregorian year 5780, please continue. Hebcal.com results this far in the future should be accurate.

select start and stop dates for the calendar OR extend existing calendar into the future

HJM 5 years ago 0

I've used HebCal for quite a while. Every few years I want to extend it into the future. (I don't what to have it go on infinitum.) I was trying to get a fresh update for 2021 - 2023 today. Unfortunately all I could get was 2020-2021. Since I already have 2020 in my calendar I ended up with double entries for the entire year. I need to start on January 2021. I thought there was a way to do this in the past, but I don't see a way to do it in the current version. I'm using macOS.

hebrew font not showing in outlook 2010 Calendar

general 5 years ago 0

Hi

I just imported the calendar csv file into Outlook 2010 running on Win 10 pro. I have done this in the past running on Win 7 and I select English and Hebrew in the calendar creation options, and the Hebrew displayed in Hebrew in the Calendar.

Now I am getting x's, etc... I have several Hebrew fonts installed, including "Alef" from this website....

Help? Suggestions? Fixes?

iCal for Pesach/Passover only

Xander Squier 5 years ago 0

We using the online generator at  https://www.hebcal.com/hebcal

Is there a way to produce a Gregorian iCal which shows only the Pesach/Passover season & includes display the corresponding Hebrew month & day?

An online/live one would be ideal but downloadable ok too.

Thanks.
