Display a Jewish Calendar with Shabat times on my website by Hebcal + FullCalendar.io in Hebrew and RTL

Anatal 9 years ago updated 9 years ago 6

There is a script code or example of displaying the Jewish Calendar with Shabat times on my website by Hebcal + FullCalendar.io in Hebrew (and RTL)?

Thanks

Anat

If you’d like to include candle-lighting times for Shabbat and holidays, be sure to adjust the urlparameter to include c=on and one of the location fields (such as geonameid=3448439 for São Paulo, Brazil).

You may need to consult the FullCalendar.io documentation on how to use non-English names for the days of the week.

Transliteration issue in Ashkenzi+Hebrew

just reporting a cosmetic bug 9 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 9 years ago 2

Hi, thanks for this service!

There is a transliteration issue in the Ashkenazi+Hebrew option. Probably in the Ashkenazi option alone of course but I didn't check it.

Leil Slichot should obviously be Leil Slichos.

Thanks.

I think the Torah reading dates for 2017 are missing, could it be?

Liora Cohen 9 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 4 years ago 2

I tried to see the Torah readings for March 25th, 2017 - Kee Tisah, and there's none, only for February 2016.

Please advise.

Torah reading for March 25, 2017 was Parashat Vayakhel-Pekudei. We recently redesigned our parsha hashavua pages to make it easier to see Torah readings in the past and future.

Editing text display of Shabbat times

wplove 9 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 9 years ago 1

I'm using the following javascript to display shabbat times on my website:

<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"
src="//www.hebcal.com/shabbat/?geo=geoname&geonameid=5128581&m=50&cfg=j&tgt=_top">
</script>

I want to change the display text, however, but don't know how to do it.

For example, I want to change

  • Candle lighting: 8:07pm on Friday, 15 Jul 2016
  • This week's Torah portion is Parashat Chukat
  • Havdalah (50 min): 9:14pm on Saturday, 16 Jul 2016

to:

Is there a way of just generating the times without any of the other text? Or separating the text into distinct sections that I can hide or display? Apologies if you've answered this elsewhere-I'm a bit new to coding API's.

WordPress plug-in

msburgis 9 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 9 years ago 2

When I went to download the HebCal WordPress plug-in, it said it has not been tested with the newest version of WordPress, which makes me a little nervous about using it since the copyright at Hebcal.com is 2011. I am using WordPress 4.5.3 with Headway theme version 3.8.8. Does anyone have experience with this version 4.5.3 of WordPress? Also, is this a regular calendar, or just the dates mentioned? I was looking for an actual calendar that might do Hebrew dates and Jewish Holidays. Thanks.
