Hebcal converter for year 3760 shows Gregorian year 0! It should be 1 BC since there is no year 0.

Can you please fix the calculator?  It converts Hebrew year 3760 to Gregorian year 0 instead of -1, or 1 BC.

We have made the change to the website.

Please note that results for year 1752 C.E. and earlier may be inaccurate.

Hebcal does not take into account a correction of ten days that was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII known as the Gregorian Reformation. [1]

today's hebrew date on website without nekudos

elifinestone 3 years ago updated 3 years ago 3

How can I display today's hebrew date on my website, without nekudos?

I'm currently using this script: <script src="https://www.hebcal.com/etc/hdate-he.js"></script>

However, it displays with nekudos.

Any Ideas?

Google Calendar and my iPhone not syncing Hebcal

Batya Ordin 3 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 3 years ago 1

I just downloaded 2023 Hebcal to my Google Calendar on my computer. That calendar always syncs automatically with my iphone, but Hebcal is not showing up on my iphone. I have tried everything.

Hi, it has been a couple of weeks and the Google Calendar cache appears to have cleared by now. We have checked and can confirm that Google Calendar is displaying this feed through December 31, 2024.

remove Hebcal from Mac

dustpan-epicure 0x 3 years ago updated 3 years ago 10

I downloaded the Hebcal to my Apple Mac computer instead of subscribing.  it now shows duplicates of all Hebcal events.  I want to delete all of it and then subscribe that will hopefully give me one event.  Help.

Answer

Thanks for using Hebcal, and sorry to hear about your difficulty with duplicate events.

If you inadvertently merged the Hebcal calendar events with your personal calendar and you didn’t use the Subscription feature, use our delete Hebcal merged events instructions.

Please let us know if you have any further questions!

Hi, thanks for using Hebcal. Sorry to hear about a mixup. We see 5:12pm coming from our website (and differences of one minute are typical and expected).

Are you using 18 minutes before sunset for your Shabbat candle-lighting times, or did you pick a different option?

Chag HaBanot / Eid al-Banat

bkelsden 3 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 3 years ago 2

I did a search on HebCal and was surprised at the omission of this North African Jewish holiday, which is increasingly observed among Jews globally. Can you please provide a listing and calendar dates for it? So far, what I find online is that it falls on the sixth day of Hanukkah/Rosh Chodesh Tevet. As a holiday that celebrates girls and women, Chag HaBanot is becoming very popular, and also incorporates more Jewish diversity into our calendar. Thank you.
