Hi, thanks for using the Hebcal APIs, and thanks for the bug report.

You aren't doing anything wrong - it looks like you found a bug in our timezone logic!

We believe we have fixed the issue and deployed a change. Please take a look and let us know if it seems to be working correctly now.

So sorry we could not meet your needs.

If you find another free yahrzeit calendar website that allows you to enter just Hebrew dates without years, we would love to know about it!

Hi, thanks for using Hebcal. You can create a personal list of Yahrzeit (memorial) and Yizkor dates, Hebrew Birthdays and Anniversaries for 20+ years at this page

https://www.hebcal.com/yahrzeit

Once you've created your personal calendar, you can print it out, sign up for free annual email reminders, and/or download to your favorite calendar app.

If you know the Hebrew but not the Gregorian date, use the Hebrew Date Converter to get the Gregorian date and then come back to the Yahrzeit + Anniversary calendar page.

If you don't know the Hebrew year, it may be difficult to get a correct date conversion.

The rules for calculating birthdays and yahrzeits are a bit complicated and depend on the actual attributes of the Hebrew year they occurred in -- was it a leap year (Adar vs. Adar I vs. Adar II)? Short Kislev? Long Cheshvan?

You can read more about the complexities here: https://www.hebcal.com/home/54/anniversaries-adar-cheshvan-kislev

This is why we recommend you put in the actual date of the birth or death (e.g. original year) and not the current year.

Thanks for using Hebcal. Yes, we offer a Yahrzeit + Anniversary calendar.

Yes and no. Yes, if you enter this year into the form you will get a perpetual calendar based on those dates. However, you may inadvertently create an inaccurate calendar!
