Error RSS feed on hebcal.com

Nachshon 8 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 3 years ago 1

Good morning,

We take from your website information about the next Sabbath by a RSS feed reader.
The information we present on our website http://www.beitkitov.org/.
We are generating link as follows:
http://www.hebcal.com/shabbat/ -> Rss feed
We obtain then the link:
http://www.hebcal.com/shabbat/?cfg=r&geonameid=293397&i=on&m=50&pubDate=0

So far it worked well but today mistakenly generated:

Shabbat Times for Warsaw, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland

On http://www.hebcal.com presented data from rss feed are correct:

I found a workaround:

From the url
http://www.hebcal.com/shabbat/?cfg=r&geonameid=293397&i=on&m=50&pubDate=0

be cut string
&PubDate=0

url http://www.hebcal.com/shabbat/?cfg=r&geonameid=293397&i=on&m=50

(without & PubDate =0) shows the data correctly:

We use a standard rss reader, which is available as a technology blogger widget.

We would like to ask you to fix error :)

To add a yahrzeit calendar to Google, use a desktop/laptop computer (not a phone/tablet) and follow these instructions:

Hebrew misspelt!!

jonathan 8 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 3 years ago 2

As a graphic designer and printer I have just had to reprint all of my Rosh Hashana cards which listed all the festivals throughout the year because on your calendar Hoshana Raba in Hebrew is misspelt. You have it written as הושנא רבה but is should be הושענא רבה. I don't suppose you'll offer to pay for my reprinted cards, but please fix the mistake. Thanks.

Why doesn't the triennial cycle show the current year?

cshapera 8 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 3 years ago 3

Why doesn't the triennial cycle show the current year? If you aren't sure which triennial cycle we are on you can't figure out which one to choose. Also, aren't there combined parshiot where you wouldn't be able to work backwards and know for sure what the correct cycle is for this year?

We will fix the website to make this easier to visualize. In the meantime you can get past and future triennial here:

Have you tried these instructions?

Did you accidentally merge Hebcal events into your main calendar? Try these instructions:

You will find lots of other articles on how to remove Hebcal events from various different apps and mobile devices here.

Can Galaxy S7 use Google Calendar?

Android calendar Jewish holidays download

We’re pleased to offer Jewish holiday downloads for many Android devices through a two step process that sends Hebcal data first to Google Calendar, and then to your Android phone or tablet.

Note that Hebcal is not an app for Android (in the Google Play sense of apps that you install). Rather, Hebcal is a website that allows you to download/export calendar data to the calendar application that comes natively with your device.

1. Follow our Google Calendar Jewish holidays download instructions.

2. Go back to your Android device and enable synchronization to Google Calendar. Follow Google’s Sync Calendar with a phone or tablet instructions.

daf yomi

Steven Zalesch 8 years ago updated by Michael J. Radwin 3 years ago 2

Daf Yomi in October 2019 has a problem. It jumps from Meilah 22 on Oct 9 to Kinnim 23 on Oct 10 and from Kinnim 25 on Oct 12 to Tamid 26 on Oct 13. Actually, I think that Nida comes after Meila.
