need help for download. I've followed the instructions and have gotten to where I click on iCalendar but nothing happens. Can someone help me?

I've clicked the items I want in the calendar and have gone to the iCalendar box and clicked it but nothing happens. Would it work if I used Mac OS and then let iCloud transfer the information to my iPad? Thanks, Deanna
