Hebrew date in English with year

Michael G 10 hours ago • updated 2 hours ago • 2

Hello, my current calendar shows the full date and year every day e.g. 17 Cheshvan 5787. This was perpetual, but it appears to be expiring soon and so I need to add a new calendar. The new option now shows 17th of Cheshvan without the year, it only shows the year on the 1st of each month. Is there a way to a new perpetual calendar which shows the year for every day?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out, and for being a long-time user of our calendar feeds.

The new perpetual feed is available at https://www.hebcal.com/ical/. As you noticed, it shows the Hebrew year only on the first day of each month (for example, 1 Cheshvan 5787), and the remaining days show just the day and month (for example, 17 Cheshvan).

I'm sorry to say we don't currently offer a perpetual version that includes the Hebrew year on every day. We chose this format to keep the calendar uncluttered and to keep the feed size manageable.

Thank you for your understanding, and please let us know if there's anything else we can help with.

Thank you very much for your reply.

My only comment would be that "17th of Cheshvan" in fact uses the same number of characters as "17 Cheshvan 5787" but it provides less information.
