Chapter and verse numbers for Tanach Yomi

Moishe Weiss 3 weeks ago • updated by Michael J. Radwin 3 weeks ago • 2

For Tanach Yomi, chapter and verse numbers would be a lot more useful on a calendar then Seder numbers. If I print a calendar with Seder numbers than I have no idea what to do with that, and the information is unusable in that format. Having to click on each linked day to get the actual reading assignment is ridiculous.

Hi Moishe,

Thanks for the suggestion. You're right that seder numbers on their own aren't much use on a printed calendar. Starting with our next update, Tanakh Yomi will show the chapter and verse range alongside the seder number, for example "Joshua Seder 9 (14:15-17:3)", or in Hebrew "יהושע ס׳ ט (יד:טו-יז:ג)"

.

While making the change we also found and fixed a bug. A handful of sedarim that run from one book into the next (several in Trei Asar, plus the I→II Samuel, Kings and Chronicles crossings) had been cut off at the end of the first book. Your request helped us catch that, so thank you twice.

And if Hebcal ever disappoints you again, our money-back guarantee stands: we'll happily refund the full $0.00 you paid. 🙂
