Yahrzeit Reminders in Google Calendar not taking Israel time zone into account
Hi, I just created a Yahrzeit reminder and downloaded it to Google Calendar. I live in Israel. The "all day" calendar item is fine, but the "reminder" calendar item to remind me to light a candle the night before and say kaddish is at 2:30am Israel time (7:30pm NY time)... so it's 7 hours too late to be useful. It's not taking time zone into account (even though I did actually check the "Israel Yizkor schedule" checkbox).

Hi, we've made a temporary workaround where Google Calendar reminders will be fixed to either Israel Time if you check the "Israel Yizkor schedule", or Eastern Standard Time for all other calendars. This is not a very ideal fix, as it delivers Yahrzeit candle reminders at the wrong time for other locations, but it will work for a large fraction of the Hebcal user base.
Thank you for using Hebcal and thank you for the bug report! We're sorry for the inconvenience this issue is causing. You are the second person to report this issue, and it appears that the root cause is Google Calendar does not implement "floating time" in calendar feeds and this explains why the timed events are not working correctly.
We're going to investigate different options for a fix and will get back to you.
