Matthew 27 and 28 can help with the timing -
27:50 - Jesus yielded Ghost after 9th hour (14th)
57 - When even was come (15th)
62 - The next day that followed preperation day (16th)
28:1 - end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward 1st of the week (17th)

However when we add the days and nights (For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth), the three nights are present - 14th - 15th = 1 night, 15th - 16th = 2 nights, 16th - 17th = 3 nights.

9th Hour - Even = 3 hours, 15th day = 1 day + 3 hours, + 16th day = 2 days + 3 hours, so from this it looks like there are 9 hours missing?

Maybe these can help - "Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day?"

"Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour"
